Strategic appointment strengthens program alignment as organization accelerates regional expansion

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Triad (BGCTriad) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nadia Obiesie as Interim Supervising Club Director, effective immediately. This appointment comes at a pivotal moment for BGCTriad as it advances its Future Ready Triad expansion—a vision to grow from six clubs to more than 25 sites serving 9,000+ young people across the region by 2030.
Reporting to the Vice President, Programs & Impact, Nadia will serve as the primary leadership connector across all Club Directors, driving program alignment, operational consistency, and staff development throughout the BGCTriad network. She will be responsible for ensuring that every club location delivers high-quality, mission-aligned programming while also building the systems, metrics, and practices that allow the organization to launch and sustain new sites as expansion accelerates.
Her scope includes facilitating regular collaboration among Club Directors, addressing personnel and operational challenges across locations, supporting budget accountability at the club level, and developing the kind of shared culture and practice that makes a multi-site organization feel like one cohesive movement — not a collection of individual sites.
“Scaling an organization is one thing. Scaling it well is something else entirely,” said Dr. William D. Gibson, President & CEO. “Nadia steps into a role that is absolutely foundational to how we grow. Program alignment, staff cohesion, and operational discipline across our clubs aren’t just internal functions—they’re what makes our promise to kids and families real, no matter which club they walk into. I have full confidence in what Nadia brings to this work.”
Heather Brock, Vice President of Programs & Impact, added: “I am really excited for Nadia as she steps into this role. She’s a strong, strategic leader who adds value through her ideas and approach, and I am looking forward to the impact she will have across our clubs.”
As BGCTriad prepares to open new locations across Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and the broader region, the Interim Supervising Club Director role is how the organization ensures that growth is matched by quality—and that every child, in every community, gets the BGCTriad experience we’ve built this movement around.
About Future Ready Triad
Future Ready Triad is BGCTriad’s bold regional expansion initiative—and the most ambitious chapter in the organization’s nearly three-decade history. What began as a single community anchor in High Point has grown into a regional movement, and the trajectory ahead is transformational.
By 2030, BGCTriad is committed to:
- Growing from 6 clubs to more than 25 sites across the Greater Triad
- Serving 9,000+ young people annually — up from approximately 1,875 today
- Expanding into High Point, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Asheboro, Burlington, Thomasville, Kernersville, and surrounding communities
- Scaling the annual operating budget from $3.2 million to $12–15 million
- Creating significant local employment and measurable economic impact across the region
The expansion is supported by Boys & Girls Clubs of America and fueled by a growing coalition of philanthropic investors, corporate partners, school districts, and community leaders who believe every child in the Triad deserves access to a great future—regardless of zip code or circumstance.
Appointments like Nadia’s are how we build the internal strength to match our external ambition. Future Ready Triad is not just a growth plan. It is a commitment—to communities, to families, and to the thousands of Club Kids whose futures depend on us getting this right.
Better. Bigger. Bolder.
