FALCONS SOAR: Forest Hills Club Wins the Spring 2026 BGCTriad Basketball Jamboree
Staff Reports | Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Triad
We’ve talked about what the Spring 2026 BGCTriad Basketball Jamboree means for our growing Athletics League—the vision it represents, the barriers it breaks down, the future it points toward. And all of that is true. But right now, it’s time to give it up for the Forest Hills Falcons.

The Forest Hills Basketball Team — 2026 Spring Basketball Jamboree Champions.
Because they earned this.
The Falcons fought through a tough matchup against the Southside Sharks to advance, then delivered one of the most exciting finishes of the Jamboree — a close, hard-fought victory over the Congdon Hub Hornets that had the gym electric from start to finish. When it was over, there was no question. Forest Hills came to compete, and they left as champions.

Forest Hills Falcons Cheer Team.
And they didn’t do it alone. The Forest Hills Cheer Team was right there with them—every possession, every run, every momentum swing. Their energy was relentless, their performance outstanding, and their presence a reminder that championship culture shows up in more ways than one. This was a complete effort from a complete Club, and it showed.
Athletic Director Kierra Currie put it best: “Seeing the Forest Hills Falcons take home the Spring Jamboree title is a true reflection of the hard work, discipline, and heart these young athletes bring every single day. This event wasn’t just about competition — it was about community, growth, and creating opportunities for our youth to shine. I’m incredibly proud of the Falcons and grateful for everyone who helped make this jamboree such a powerful success.”

Action on the court!
That’s the truth of it. What happened on that court — and on those sidelines — wasn’t just an athletic achievement. It was the embodiment of everything the BGCTriad Athletics League was built to produce. Young people showing up with discipline and heart, competing with integrity, and walking away knowing they belong.
This is what the front door looks like. A young person who comes for the game, and stays for everything else — the mentorship, the academics, the sense of belonging that changes the trajectory of a life. The Athletics League was designed intentionally around that truth, and the Spring Jamboree delivered it in full view of the entire community.
Across the Greater Triad, we are building something that hasn’t existed here before — a regional youth sports ecosystem, at no cost to families, that rivals anything in the area and opens doors that pay-to-play models have kept closed for too long. What the Falcons did this spring is proof that when you remove the barriers and invest in young people, they rise.
Congratulations to the Forest Hills Falcons — basketball team and cheer squad alike. The Jamboree banner is yours. You earned every bit of it.
Rise. Belong. Become.
