High Point, NC — Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Triad (BGCTriad) is proud to announce the appointment of Daniel Nance as Director, Donor Relations, a key addition to the organization’s Advancement team as it continues to build the donor engagement infrastructure needed to sustain the Future Ready Triad expansion across High Point, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Asheboro, and surrounding communities.

In this role, Nance will report to Ray Trapp, Vice President, Advancement, and will focus on building and deepening relationships with the individuals, businesses, and organizations investing in BGCTriad’s mission across the region.

Nance is a native of the Piedmont Triad and a graduate of Southwest Guilford High School and North Carolina State University. His career began in botany research through NC State’s Extension, where he worked on local food production and spent time in the field with area farmers, an experience he said taught him where his real passion was.

“That experience taught me to lean into the strengths and interests that came naturally to me,” Nance said. His path eventually carried him through retail, hotels, and hospitality before bringing him to BGCTriad.

Over the past several years, Nance has built a deep record of community involvement in High Point. He completed United Way of Greater High Point’s African American Initiative Project Board Development course in 2024 and is a member of the 2026 graduating class of Leadership High Point. He has volunteered with Senior Resources of the Triad through Meals on Wheels and Senior Wheels, currently serves on United Way of Greater High Point’s 2026 Fundraising Cabinet, and has volunteered with the Community Clinic of High Point, helping community members access healthcare and prescription assistance.

“Daniel joining our Advancement team is another big step forward as we continue to grow across the Greater Triad,” said Trapp. “His experience building relationships and connecting with people is exactly what we need as we strengthen our donor engagement and expand our reach. This work is about relationships, trust, and connecting people who believe in our mission with opportunities to make a real impact. I’m excited to have Daniel on the team and excited about what we’re going to build together.”

Nance said he is looking forward to putting those relationships to work on behalf of the Triad’s young people.

“I’m excited to join the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Triad as Director, Donor Relations,” Nance said. “I am grateful for the many people and organizations that have given me opportunities to learn, serve, and become more involved in our community. I look forward to building relationships with the people, businesses, and organizations that want to invest in our young people and help create a stronger future for all of us.”

“What inspires me is the leadership, stewardship, and goodwill of our community,” he continued. “I believe in the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Triad, and even more, I believe in the people of this community. We have so many people who are willing to give, serve, lead, and invest in one another. My goal is to bring those relationships together for our young people and their futures.”

Nance’s appointment comes as BGCTriad’s Advancement team continues to grow in support of Future Ready Triad, the organization’s regional expansion now underway across 10 cities and 5 counties — Guilford, Forsyth, Alamance, Davidson, and Randolph. As the largest active expansion currently underway in Boys & Girls Clubs of America(opens in new tab) nationally, Future Ready Triad depends on donor relationships like the ones Nance will help build to fund every new site, every new staff member, and every new community of Club Kids across the region.

• 8 new sites launching across Greensboro and Winston-Salem in FY2026/27, bringing the total to 14 clubs
• FY2026/27 projected budget of $6.46 million — more than double the organization’s base just two years ago
